PhenoRob ist weltweit führend in der Forschung im Bereich Robotik und Phänotypisierung für eine nachhaltige Pflanzenproduktion. Unsere Vision ist es, die Pflanzenproduktion zu verändern, indem wir die Züchtung und das landwirtschaftliche Management durch die Entwicklung und den Einsatz neuer Technologien optimieren. PhenoRob geht ein reales Problem mit einem technologieorientierten Ansatz an. Unsere Wissenschaftler kommen aus den Bereichen Informatik, Geodäsie, Robotik, Pflanzenwissenschaften, Bodenkunde, Wirtschaft und Umweltwissenschaften. Das interdisziplinäre Team bildet den einzigen von der DFG geförderten Exzellenzcluster im Bereich der Landwirtschaft.

Die PhenoRob Interdisciplinary Lecture Series, kurz PILS, ist eine Vortragsreihe von bis zu 30 Minuten, in der Schlüsselkonzepte für Personen aus anderen Fachbereichen erklärt werden. Die Reihe startet im Januar 2022 und ist Teil des Exzellenzclusters PhenoRob an der Universität Bonn.
